Help on how to use the site and links to related projects are provided.
The Chemical Forums
Discussion boards for all areas of chemistry, at levels ranging from high school to graduate school and practicing chemists. Site also includes web directory, periodic table, articles, and reference tables.
The Chemistry Hypermedia Project
The specific goals of this project are: to use the internet to provide supplemental educational resources to chemistry students, determine effective hypermedia designs for chemical education, evaluate the distribution of multimedia educational material over the internet and develop, evaluate, and disseminate prototype programs for creating interactive exercises.
This nicely-done site by Charles Ophardt of Elmhurst College covers a wide swath of general, organic, and environmental chemistry. The text material is interesting and well written without attempting to be encyclopedic.
