Although Internet provides a wealth of information, but typically it is presented in an unorganized manner which overshadows its usefulness. Search engines do not always relevantly address the problem as they provide an overload of general information but no specific answer set. The researchers spend a lot of time to find required information. In this context, WWW Chemistry Guide, a web site designed for the specific needs of chemists, was created. Its mission consists in collecting and independently annotating all useful chemistry sites. We are looking for really high quality sites, and aren't aiming at a large directory. Our search engine allows you to search the contents of more than 250 chemistry website. It searches only the sites we specify, bypassing a lot of the junk. We are only looking for the sites with the best information, resources, design and navigation. Only a small percentage of the thousands of chemistry web sites meet those criteria. That's why this site exists. All sites listed in the directory are examined by our team of editors (scientists with Bsc, Msc and Ph. D. degrees of chemistry), and only if qualified are granted inclusion. Editorial review ensures that all sites are appropriately listed in their most relevant category; all sites included must contain substantive unique content, navigate in a user-friendly manner, contain no broken links or pictures, be up and running 24/7, and conform to universally accepted web standards. The author of this site is Andrey Frolov (Ph.D. in organic chemistry, 15 years experience in organic synthetic chemistry). Many thanks to Aurora Fine Chemicals and Exclusive Chemistry Ltd for supporting this free resource. If you have any questions/comments about this site, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
